FINAL FALL FREEBIE!

Hey everyone! We are down to the final fall freebie! Where did October go?! I really can't believe how quickly the fall is flying by! I have no complaints though! I have enjoyed my fall so far! Between a few mini vacations, creating new tpt products, shopping, subbing, and lazy movie nights, I have loved this fall. Before we know it, it will be Christmas! Yikes I know! I can't even think about the cost of that just yet.

Before I share about my latest freebie, I want to take a second to thank Crystal and Marie from Once Upon A Classroom: The Tale of Two Teachers. Each  and every Friday in October they have been kind enough to organize this fun blog hop! I am thrilled to be a part of the fun and I look forward to more hops in the future! From talking with Crystal, it seems she already has a new idea up her sleeve! Be sure to check back for an update! ;-)

Ok, so without making you all wait any longer, here is the new freebie for this week! This game is really fun for the kids and it is a great way to practice new sight words while reinforcing old words. Having used this game in intervention groups, I am certain your kiddos will love the game. All you need to do is cut out the words and print the game board and viola! After grabbing yourself a copy of this freebie, head over to Ideas By Jivey for another freebie! (How fun is this, right?!)

Friday FREEBIE

Hey everyone! Back to back blogging days! I know, not the typical me right?! Well, between the new FB page, Instagram, TpT creating, DIY projects and whatnot, I have been having trouble balancing it all! I truly do not understand how the moms out there do it all. I am busy without kids! I give all of you moms credit for being able to balance the motherhood chaos with all of the social media and teaching stuff!

Even though I have been super busy, I definitely couldn't pass up the opportunity to take part in this fun blog hop put on by Marie and Crystal from Once Upon A Classroom: The Tale of Two Teachers. Each Friday in October they are hosting a blog hop in which different bloggers share a FREEBIE!

Due to the fact that my ancient laptop from who knows when couldn't connect to the Internet when I was in Dallas, I wasn't able to join in on the fun last week. But, now that I am back, I am thrilled to be able to share this week's FREEBIE! Check it out below!

Guess My Number is a game which is played similarly to Guess Who, however, instead of guessing a person you are guessing numbers. There are a variety of number sheets included and they fit perfectly into the new Guess Who playing boards. Don't have the Guess Who game? No worries! Laminate the playing sheets and have your students use dry erase markers to cross out the numbers.

Included in this freebie are a variety of sheets with numbers up to 100 and game directions. Based on my experiences with my students playing this game in summer school, I know your students will enjoy it too! After grabbing yourself a copy of this freebie, head over to Owl Always Love 2nd Grade for another freebie!

Thanks everyone for stopping by! Be sure to swing by again next week for another freebie! ;-)

Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful mommas out there! If you are anything like my mom, you are an amazing mother who deserves nothing but the best on your special day! I hope you are all being spoiled! I spoiled my mom with some gift cards and a little trip to the nail salon! She loved the gifts! Either way, I am looking forward to a nice meal out! Between blogging, instagraming, Teachers Pay Teachers and just day to day craziness, I haven’t done much of “meals” lately. I can’t wait to just spend the quality time with my mom and family! I hope all of you are enjoying your Mother’s Day just the same!

Here is a picture of my sister and me with our beautiful mom!

Winter Storm Nemo, New TpT Product, & Valentine's Day SALE!!!

MY POWER IS BACK ON!!! I have been trapped in the house for two days with no electricity! Can you say blogging withdrawals!?! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate electricity now! Winter storm Nemo really wasn’t kidding. At first I was thinking it can’t be that bad, but once that snow started coming down I knew Rhode Island was not going to forget this one! We got 20” of snow! Yes, 20 inches! Not to mention the snow drifts that are about 3 feet high! Thank goodness my boyfriend was willing to do the shoveling because while I offered to help, both of us knew I would be more in the way than any help! So, I helped myself to some hot coca and took some pictures of all the snow! Here are some of the pictures!

The cars are not getting out for a while!!!

I must say the snow does look pretty! (All 20" of it!)

Backyard BBQ anyone?!

Check out the mounds of snow! Unbelievable!

Well, while I was stuck without electricity, I decided to catch up on some of the reading I told myself I would get to. I spent a lot of time reading some great Lucy Calkins books and a Richard Allington book I bought a few months back. I was able to get some great reading ideas and just have some peace and quiet......then ZING, the power! Books went away and I got back to my latest TpT resource! (I can’t help it, I am addicted!) So, after lots of hours playing catch up on all the time I couldn’t work on my product this weekend, my "Pirate Math Games & Center Fun" product is D-O-N-E! This new product is aligned with the COMMON CORE and is stacked with fun activities! I swear you will want to play these games too! So, here it is! Check it out below!

Also, some more GREAT news! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I want to be sure everyone is all stocked up for their little kiddos. Therefore, both of my Valentine’s Day products will be 15% off today through Thursday! Be sure to check those products out along with my Valentine’s Day Addition & Subtraction FREEBIE! Happy shopping!!!

Bargain Shopping & Valentine's Day FREEBIE!!!

Hi bloggers! I have a few things to share with you tonight! First of all, I am SOOO excited about my newest bargains. As you know, I have started my new after school job and I just love it! I have been working with my students on sight word recognition in isolation and in context. Well, I figured that since this is an after school program and these students are already tired, I have to make this program as fun and engaging as possible. So, I went out to the Dollar Tree and did some digging around. I ended up finding these party platter dishes that I am using to represent the water. You are probably wondering why I didn’t just use a piece of blue construction paper; I didn’t use that because this platter is a great way to hold the fish and the cards. The center, normally used for a dipping sauce, comfortably holds the playing cards. As for the fish, I got those for .50 cents at Michael's. Yes, 36 Dr. Seuss fish for only .50 cents! Even though they are a little big for the party platter, they still work! And lastly, the fishing poles are just wooden dowels I had my dad cut up and sand the ends for me. I hot glued magnets to the fish and the ends of the poles and viola, new sight word game! All in all, the total cost $4! I can’t wait to try this game out with my students!

Also, on my Dollar Tree bargain hunt, I found these HUGE fly swatters! Yes, they are large! I probably should have placed an object next to them so you could see exactly how big they are. Roughly, the net portion is just about the size of a piece of paper. Now, these fly swatters will surely be a hit with my students. I will use them for the swatting sight word game I have planned for the next coming weeks. I can’t wait for the students to see these! I am not sure though, I might actually be more excited about the swatters than my students will be. I will definitely post some pictures when we play!

Now, lastly, I am so excited to announce that I have created a brand new FREEBIE! This freebie is the Valentine’s Day version of my “Addition & Subtraction at the North Pole” product. In the “Valentine’s Day Addition & Subtraction” packet, your students will use addition and subtraction to solve word problems, figure out the secret message on the valentine, help Zoey deliver her valentines, color a valentine penguin by number, and finally, play the box of chocolate addition game! I am really hoping you check it out! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!! Also, as always, your feedback is appreciated! ;-) Thanks for stopping by!

Reading Strategies Original Poem FREEBIE

Another FREEBIE everyone! I have made an original poem about reading strategies. Boy, did this one take me a long time! I never realized how hard rhyming can be! If you were here with me while I wrote this you would have gotten a kick out of the words I was trying to rhyme. I even tried to find a word that rhymed with opinion! So, yes, clearly my brain was going a bit nuts. Either way, I hope you enjoy this poem and find it useful!

PLURAL NOUNS with Pablo the Penguin FREEBIE!!!

WOOHOO! I finished my first teaching resource! I think I am finally starting to get the hang of things thanks to Amber at Sparkles, Smiles, and Successful Students. I could not have done it without you! I am so excited to start making and sharing my resources with other teachers! So, here it is! My first FREEBIE! A resource on plural nouns! With this winter themed printable, students will write the plural form of a given singular noun and identify the correct spelling of plural nouns within a sentence. Your students will join Pablo the penguin as they learn and practice plural nouns in a fun and engaging way! I would LOVE feedback and suggestions from you to help me with future items.
